Hearty Pasta with Tomato Sauce

This recipe is very delicious, nutritious and easy to do, and what matters most, your child will eat everything you serve in the dish.

The main ingredient in the recipe are the tomatoes. Tomatoes are a great food rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E and K and many minerals including potassium, phosphorus, iron and calcium.

eating raw tomatoes is recommended in cases of vitamin C deficiency, pulmonary tuberculosis, anemia and constipation.

This recipe is ideal for children 8 months and older.

Okay, get to work!

To cook the pasta, just follow the instructions that come in the box.

Tomato Sauce (Makes 2 1 / 2 cups sauce):

2 tablespoons olive oil or another oil low in cholesterol
Half a white onion, finely chopped 1 carrot finely chopped

1 stalk celery, finely chopped 2 tablespoons parsley

chopped 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)
1 pound fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped, or canned whole tomatoes 1 28 oz.
Salt (1 / 2 teaspoon) * Process

cooking tomato sauce:
Add oil in a skillet and cook over medium heat.
Add the onion, carrot, celery, garlic and parsley, stirring occasionally until vegetables are tender.
Add tomatoes and basil. If using canned tomatoes, chop the tomatoes with your fingers, including the juice.
No cover salsa, simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
Pass the sauce through a food processor or blender until a smooth consistency.
Pour sauce over pasta and serve


** * not overdo the salt. If after preparing Salsa think you need more salt, add one to your plate than not the children.

** If you prepare the pasta for a baby 8 to 12 months, it is advisable to cut the pasta once cooked, chopped.

Kids love the jelly, but jelly flavors found in supermarkets contains lots of sugars, dyes and chemicals unhealthy for our children.

A healthy and nutritious way to enjoy this delicious gelatin dessert is prepared at home. Just need to buy jelly "tasteless" and mix it with fruit, or fruit, a favorite.

Pineapple Gelatin Ingredients:
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 / 2 cup hot water
1 1 / 2 cups pineapple juice, at room temperature, sweetened to taste (but remember to not use much sugar)

First, we hydrate the gelatin. For this do the following:
1) pour the gelatin over gradually, in our 1 1 / 2 cups pineapple juice.
2) Mix with a fork, until it begins to thicken.
3) Leave for a few minutes.
4) Add half a cup of hot water, mix and refrigerate.


* The consistency of the jelly change when is hydrated with milk, ie it is softer than water.
